6/17/06 Surf Report

I drove up and down the coast this morning from Carlsbad up through Oceanside and took the PCH to Encinitas. The surf was nothing to write home about although we are expecting South Swell to increase all weekend.

Oceanside: Chest to Head High +1 and completely closing out at low tide.
Warm Waters: Packed with longboarders
Ponto Jetty: Wind effected it early; chest high mushy
Encintas: Fun corners, much more broken up and peaky but onshore and crowded. It is my call for the evening session if it doesnt get better with the tide in Oceanside…
