- Pick up Dan Harrison at San Juan Capistrano train station @ 7:02 am
- Mas Boozing
- Arrive California Raceway @ 9:25 am
- Meet John McKain @ his car @ 9:45 am for tailgating (he is bringing meat, grill, and an iced 30 pack)
- Grill out and More boozing
- 12:00 pm Race Starts
- Get R’ Done
- Checkered Flag
- Train departs to bring us home 1 hour after checkered flag
After reading the excursion plan, my wild imagination leads me to believe I may start seeing checkered flags around #7 or #8… It’ll be fun, bring it on
Gotta say it was fun. After getting my Tom Cruise Racing Sunglasses, consuming several sausage links and expertly prepared tir-tip (Thanks John) and consuming a serious volume of Bloody Mary (Thanks Stefan), Margaritas (Thanks Conner), beer (props to John & the beer vendors) the race was literally a blur. I still do not understand how people are able to follow the race, excluding the fans of the orange car, but I guess it’s just me being a total n00b to the NASCAR© world. On another note, the crowd was amazing and the ir gear even more so. I never knew Home Depot had this many fans. Thank you Baby J, Thank you Tom Cruise.
Conner, I hope you will keep your word and name your son Billy Bob – if you do, I will buy him his first car when he first gets his driver’s license.
