What did Air Asia end up charging for board bags? We are flying with them into Padang and would like to know what kind of money we are looking at for a quad bag. Thanks!

    Keir,

It is done by weight, but the numbers in the post are not accurate. Basically, make your board bags as light as possible. It was very expensive for my 4 boards from Kuala Lumpur to Padang. I think I paid around $130, which is not crazy until you think that I paid only $75 for my round trip ticket.

Thanks ICE! Did you try to prepay for your board bag when booking the flight online or did you just show up with the boards? Were all of your boards in 1 bag?

  • Just as a tip, keep in mind that Air Asia will regularly change their fees and charges for baggage. Keep an eye on the costs when booking, but also take note of the terms and conditions. Air Asia can be tricky sometimes and you dont want to arrive at the airport face with another charge.
