Well, home skillets, we are all set to go for the 5th Annual Donkey Patrol Fall Classic Surf Contest Invitational Event! We have Donks traveling the globe to make it to this year’s event on FIRMLY SET FOR SEPTEMBER 19th, 2009! The Hawaiian Super Charger, The Tampa Tarpon and Puerto Rican Pontificater will be wild cards in this years event! The location has yet to be determined, but you can already scratch off Boneyards, 15th Street in Del Mar, Tamarack and Grandview!!!!!! Hopefully, we will get another macking swell so that Sheagas can actually make video (before the end of 2010!).
There is a fee associated with this years event. Don’t worry, I’m not trying to make a profit, but it looks like we will have commemorative t shirts with the remaining allocation going to The American Cancer Society. Several of us have folks, family and friends that have cancer or who have beat it and we want to show a little love to offset all of the evil doings from the Viper, Pitts, Roberto, Rori and John! The fee will be $25.00 and don’t show up without it or……no tshirt for you and most of all no DP Board of Excellence!
I’m sure that you are all amped……Marty has been perfecting the “Ham on Rye”, Rori has been working on “Crouching Long Islander hidden dragon”, Roberto has been getting more aerodynamic, The Tampa Bay Tarpon has been “bulking up”, The Surf Stalker has been, well…. stalking, Sheagas has been surfing huge Venice, John has been training for the seals so he may actually kill you in your heat, Pitts has been mentally preparing by making waitresses weep, like Mr. Miyagi and Daniel Larusso, The viper has been learning the zen ways under Kozy, Flakely has been living in his mom’s basement eating Twinkies, Spok has been beaming himself out of the water, and I will be playing mind games with the Hawaiian Super Charger this week as Hawaii gets its first good North swell of the season.
